About the Event
Law Enforcement Top Shooter Competition for Charity.
This event is being held by Mountain Maryland Search and Rescue in cooperation with Mullaney Instructing.
Participants must have current arrest powers.
This event will be split into 2 types of shooters, Professional and Patrol Level.
A Professional is an officer that is approved to teach the weapon to be used. Any patrol officer if they wish to step up to the plate my elect to challenge themselves and compete as a professional but instructors must pick professional level.
There will be 2 courses of fire at each level, first will be handgun and another with be patrol rifle.
Each course will be broken down into 2 runs, the first will be a marksmanship consisting of a 20 round (2mags with 10 round in each) course and the other will be a running and gunning shooting with 30 rounds (3 mags with 10 rounds in each.).
You may elect to shoot either the handgun course or Patrol rifle or you may run both courses.
IF ALL GOES ACCORDING TO PLAN I WOULD LIKE TO START THE PROFESSIONALS AT 0830 AND START THE PATROL LEVEL AT NOON.
Half of the proceeds will go to Mountain Maryland Search and Rescue. The remaining proceeds will be split between the winners of each course’s agency charity of choice. Mountain Maryland Search and Rescue is a team of volunteers with the purpose of helping our community by donating our time and resources to finding missing and endangered people.
